Join us online from the comfort of your couch at home on January 24, 2022 from 8-9 p.m. as we chat with our friends at Lighthouse Autism Center regarding new play based approaches to ABA (applied behavior analysis). Lighthouse Autism Center will be opening soon in winter 2022 in Champaign. The chat will take place on the Chambanamoms Facebook page.
We will discuss items such as what is ABA therapy and what does traditional ABA therapy look like. We will discuss how the importance of play based support in a child’s naturalistic environment and the integration of speech therapy. This approach was created by a team of dually certified clinicians/experts in the fields of speech and ABA.
Joining us on the chat will be Ashley Ritchey, BCBA, Regional Clinical Director, Illinois. Ashley is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over seven years of experience in the field. She began her career at Lighthouse Autism Center in Warsaw, IN as a Registered Behavior Technician, before earning her Master’s Degree and being promoted to Program Manager for that center location. Ashley is overseeing Lighthouse’s newest ABA therapy center in Champaign, IL.
Abbey Yoder, Family Outreach Manager will also be chatting with us. She oversees Family Outreach for Lighthouse Autism Center and will be working with families in Champaign, IL during the intake and enrollment process. Abbey has been with Lighthouse for over two years with previous background experience in the fields of insurance and community outreach.
