The month of April is recognized in the U.S. as National Minority Health Month, designed to advance awareness and focus on health equity across the country on behalf of all racial and ethnic minorities. Black Maternal Health Week is April 11 – 17, 2021.
Join us as we chat with Dr. Ifeanyi Opoku from Carle as she answers questions and discusses the importance of Black Maternal Health Week. She has been an OB-GYN physician at Carle since 2018. This is her first job since graduating from the University of Wisconsin (in Madison) Medical School. Dr. Opoku is married and has three young children.
We’ll be chatting on the Chambanamoms Facebook page. Follow along on the Facebook event page for more details.
