Head to Urbana on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM to celebrate freedom, unity, and Black excellence!

Parade Route
Starts at Philo and Colorad0, moves north on Philo Road towards Florida Ave, south to Anderson St, east on Colorado Ave and ends at the Salt & Light Parking lot.

They would love to have your help! Here’s how YOU can support this celebration:

1. Join the Parade!
Bring your youth, church group, organization, or just your beautiful self and march with them!

2. Decorate a Truck or Car
Have a flatbed or vehicle you’d like to feature? Decorate it and join the parade in style!

3. Donate Candy for the Kids
Youth will be handing out candy along the route. Help them fill their hands with joy!
Purchase candy here:

4. Help Feed the Participants and their Families!
They’ll end the event in Crestview Park with a meal and celebration for the participants. Donate items or volunteer to help with set-up and serving. Email them for more information (info@thewellexperience.org).

5. Come Out and Watch!
They need the energy of the community cheering them on from the sidewalks! Bring your lawn chairs, wave your signs, and celebrate with them. They will start at Philo Rd and Colorado.

This parade is more than a march—it’s a lesson in history, pride, and purpose. The youth spend the week learning the story of Juneteenth and why it matters. They carry that knowledge with them as they walk—and they need you walking and cheering beside them.

Help to make Juneteenth unforgettable.

Please remember that events may be canceled or rescheduled last minute due to unpredictable weather or other factors. We encourage you to reach out to event organizers before heading out to an event to verify it is still happening.
