Come to Douglass Park as First String celebrates Jackie Robinson Day with a baseball clinic and free community event on Saturday, April 11, from 10-2 p.m.
The Champaign County Christian Health Center will be on site for physicals starting at 9:30a.m., and warm-ups for the Pitch, Hit & Run competition will begin at 11am on McFarland Field.
Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) events provide boys AND girls an opportunity to showcase their baseball skills, with the opportunity of earning a chance to attend and compete for a Championship during the 2026 MLB World Series!
The Pitch, Hit & Run program is a free event series for boys and girls, and consists of a series of movements that are important in baseball.
Participants will compete in either 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, or 13-14 age division, with the Age Cut-off set on November 15, 2026. They will be tested, and their measurements will be recorded for points. Based on their scores, they will advance from a Local Event to a Team Championship and then to the Finals hosted at the World Series.
Families can enjoy free food, music, and games!
REGISTRATION IS FREE AND ONLINE: https://pitchhitrun2026.leagueapps.com/…/4799411-first…
