Illinois Space Day is a completely free event for students in 5th through 8th grades, including lunch!
Saturday, September 19

Exact location TBA – on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign engineering campus
Hosted by the student organization Illinois Space Society, who will provide all the necessary materials and lunch for each participant.
Illinois Space Day provides an accessible and enriching STEM experience to the Urbana-Champaign community and beyond. Students will enjoy a day full of fun, learning, experimenting and designing.
There will be engineering and scientific demonstrations, hands-on activities such as creating your own moon craters, making straw rockets, and designing and testing Mars rovers, as well as demonstrations such as a hybrid rocket engine hot fire!
