Step back into the Harlem Renaissance at this family-friendly Fashion Show & Clothing Drive that’s the first in a series of For the Culture events happening this summer in Downtown Champaign.
Come out on June 14 from 3-5 p.m. for music, fashion, community, and a celebration of Black art and culture. Bring a clothing donation and help support local families while celebrating Black history. Happy Juneteenth Week!
Hosted by Needful Things, Exile on Main Street, Maize at the Station, and the City of Champaign as part of the For the Culture series, this event brings together fashion, history, music, community, and giving back. Attendees will enjoy a fashion show inspired by the Harlem Renaissance, live music, family-friendly activities along Chestnut Street, and opportunities to learn more about a period that helped shape Black art, literature, fashion, and culture across the United States. Following the fashion show, continue the celebration with music and a dance party at Exile on Main Street, as well as a FREE appetizer buffet and mocktails at Maize!
