Children’s Museum of Illinois is joining over 10 other museums in Illinois and Indiana to continue its annual tradition of a Noon Year’s Eve countdown and celebration!
The free online event will be hosted by CMofIL’s very own Jayson “Jay” Albright and will feature The Awesome Squad performing a mix of pop hits and toe-tapping originals designed to get families up on their feet and dancing along before the official countdown to noon!
The free LIVE stream begins at 11:30am on Thursday, December 31. You can find the link for viewing the event here on the website as well as on museum social channels (Insta, Facebook, and Twitter). It will be made available on the 31st.
Participating museums include: Children’s Discovery Museum (Normal, IL), Children’s Museum of Illinois (Decatur, IL), Kidzeum (Springfield,IL), Terre Haute Children’s Museum, Imagination Station (LaFayette, IN), Muncie Children’s Museum, Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn, Discovery Center Museum (Rockford, IL), Peoria Playhouse, Wonder Works (Oak Park, IL), Kohl Children’s Museum (Glenview), Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville, and Chicago Children’s Museum.
During the event they will check in with these museums to see how they are celebrating their Noon Year! They can’t wait to party down to Noon Year with you.
Happy Noon Year activity kits are available from Children’s Museum of Illinois to help children get the most out of the experience (OPTIONAL). Each kit will feature:
- Party Crown with Decorations
- Glow Bracelet
- Noise Maker
- New Year Resolution Activity
