The night sky has been the subject of campfire stories, ancient myths and awe for as long as there have been people. A desire to comprehend the Universe may well be humanity’s oldest shared intellectual experience. Yet only recently have we truly begun to grasp our place in the vast cosmos. To learn about this journey of celestial discovery, from the theories of the ancient Greek astronomers to today’s grandest telescopes, we invite you to experience From Earth to the Universe, a new fulldome show from the European Southern Observatory. This show is available in English and Spanish.
Tickets can be purchased in the planetarium lobby 30 minutes prior to the shows. Cash and checks (made out to Parkland College only), VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
They cannot accept bills over $20.
No gift cards of any kind can be accepted.
No advance ticket sales; all tickets are sold at the door.
Public Show Admission
Adults: $8
Children (12 and under), seniors (65 and over), and Parkland students and staff: $7
Stay for both regular shows on the same evening and get the second show half price!
Groups (20+): $4 per person (one show) or $6 per person (two consecutive shows)
Friends of the Staerkel Planetarium members: no charge
