Bring your family and friends out to the forest preserves for some free fishing fun! Kids will have the chance to win awards for the Most Fish, the Biggest Fish, and the Good Sport Award!
Basic fishing instruction will be available to beginners. Cane poles and bait are available to use, but you are welcome to bring your own. Participants 15 and under do not require a fishing license. All fishing is catch-and-release.
Adult supervision of children 15 and under is required. FREE. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Note: Per the Illinois Department of Natural Resources regulation, a fishing license is required for fishing in all Illinois waters. Licenses are not required for anglers who are under the age of 16, blind or disabled anglers, or residents on active military service.
