This month’s theme is the Lunar New Year, featuring the story, This Next New Year.
Celebrate the Lunar New Year by reading the picture book, This Next New Year! Warmly written by an author who has both Chinese and Korean descent, the book shares the happy memories we could create on this special and important festival. After reading this book, you might learn some interesting ways to wipe away bad luck and gather good luck, or you could even invent your own way to celebrate it! Bring your innovation and creativity to this happy event!

The Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies, in partnership with the Champaign Public Library, presents East Asian Story Time, a monthly family event series celebrating cultural and language diversity in our communities. Each bilingual storytime event will feature a story read in English and Chinese, Japanese, or Korean to spark children’s interest in East Asian languages and cultures. All are welcome!
