RC flying is facinating to all ages because any age can learn to fly. This is what makes Champaign RC Club’s “Fly-ins” popular–picture yourself at the controls. At “Warbirds & Classics”, June 21 – 22 spectators are upclose to the action, can talk to the pilots and may win a raffle prize.
Admission is free.
Expected to attend are RC planes replicating styles from World War I to modern day jets. Flying is Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday, 9am to 2pm. Visitors can also learn about the Club’s “FREE Thursday Night Flying Lessons” (5:30p to dusk). YOU DON’T need a plane, students use the Club’s equipment.
