Six Area High Schools Collaborating on Community Event to Benefit Eastern Illinois Foodbank
The Caring Carnival, April 1st
High school service clubs at Academy High, Centennial, Central, St. Thomas More, Urbana, and Uni have come together to plan and host the second annual community-wide fundraiser benefiting the Eastern Illinois Foodbank. The event, called the Caring Carnival, will be held on Saturday, April 1st, from 3 pm to 7 pm, at Central’s gym.
Admission to the Caring Carnival is free, with a request for a donation at the door. This
family-friendly event will have games, food, and fun for all. The afternoon will center around a volleyball tournament for middle and high school students. All levels of volleyball experience are welcomed. The volleyball tournament was a great success last year, and the coordinators are excited to see the tournament expand this year. A team of six students can enter the volleyball tournament for $48 through early registration until, and it will cost $54 to register thereafter. A prize will be awarded to the winning team. Please email interactcentral@gmail.com for information about registering your team.
Each dollar raised for the Eastern Illinois Foodbank can provide five meals to a food-insecure neighbor.
