The Giertz Gallery at Parkland College will host “Around the Block V: Artists from Our Neighborhood” in collaboration with 40 North: Champaign County Arts Council. The juried exhibition featuring regional artists from Champaign County and District 505, from June 9 to July 24, 2025. The exhibition, curated by Parkland alumnus and SAIC assistant director Josh Fairbanks, showcases original works submitted by artists aged 18 and older.

Opening remarks will be delivered during a reception on June 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and a closing reception will take place on July 24 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. All events are free and accessible, with summer gallery hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Mon-Wed) and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Thurs) and closed on July 3. The gallery is located on the Parkland College campus, and for more information, contact the gallery office at 217/351-2485.
