Winter Wonderland – Open House at Crisis Nursery

Curious about the Crisis Nursery programs and services? Want something fun and free to do with your littles? Friday, December 9, come out to the Nursery’s Open House at 4 p.m. They will be building snowmen, playing games, and have refreshments for you to enjoy.

Crisis Nursery Holiday Shop
December 8 – 10, times vary
Crisis Nursery’s Holiday Shop is the perfect place for children to do their holiday shopping for everyone on their list. All gifts are priced between $2 and $10. Children shop with the help of a community volunteer, pay for their gifts, and wrap them in shiny festive bags. As they leave the shop, children are always full of pride with the items they have picked out on their own and an understanding that it is just as great to give as it is to receive.
Special Guests: UIUC Cheerleaders on Thursday, Elsa & Anna on Friday, and Santa from 3:30p-5p on Saturday, times may vary so check website or Facebook for details.
Open 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Open 8 a.m. Saturday for Sensory Friendly Hour, then 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Marcy McAnally, State Farm Agent, and her team are spreading Holiday cheer with their last gift of the year, back by popular demand!
Stop by for a gift bag of items to make a tour of the local festive holiday lights a success. They worked with the Black Bear Bakery out of Mahomet to make the hot chocolate bombs for some specialty hot cocoa. Candy canes, mini flashlights and a map of local lights will be sure to make the evening fun!
Stop by under their awning and they’ll bring a bag out to you. Limited quantities, so follow up on Facebook & Instagram for information.
Champaign Park District Winter Nights
Enjoy holiday lights every Thursday through Sunday, 5-9 p.m., starting Friday, November 25 – December 31 at Prairie Farm. This will be an accessible experience featuring festive light displays throughout the farm.
Free hot cocoa will be available on Friday and Saturday nights thanks to the Champaign Parks Foundation. Donations encouraged to help support Winter Nights at Prairie Farm!
