Now that we’re in April, we’re looking ahead to all things bunnies, eggs and pastel-colored. Easter is just two weeks away! We have a list of where to find the Easter Bunny, all the egg hunts we know of in Champaign-Urbana and all kinds of other events to go along with the holiday, as well. This weekend is the Boneyard Arts Festival, and there will be a long list of events all over our community as part of the fest. Featured Event – Live Chat with First Strokes Swim Academy: Building Foundations for a Lifetime of Enjoyment in the Water

Join us as LIVE on the chambanamoms Facebook page on Sunday, April 3 from 8-9 p.m. as we chat with Tina Johnson of First Strokes Swim Academy at her pool. Watch as Tina will be discussing Infant Swimming Resource’s (ISR) proprietary Self-Rescue infant survival swimming program. Tina has also sought out education for Autism Training and Certification for Aquatics Professionals in order to provide a deeper understanding of autism to enhance aquatics professionals’ ability to work with and assist autistic swimmer or others in an aquatic environment. Tina also will discuss and show methods of swim lessons with older children as well as adults and athletes desiring to improve their aquatic performance. Adults have utilized Tina’s support to not only learn to swim but to also enhance their competitive performance in the water.

One participant from the evening’s chat will win a Scout gift bag full of pool goodies and more.
