This frigid January weekend has us wanting to bundle up and bury under the blankets
In case you do want to venture out into the frozen tundra, we have ideas on where you can go and what you can do this weekend in Champaign-Urbana
Now that the kids have headed back to school and the winter winds have officially settled in for the long haul, we are ready for a cozy weekend at home with our families. Now, if you DO want to head out, you’ll be glad to know that some winter options are available for you to find something to do. We will highlight those below for you.
The jury is still out on when we’ll be able to sled in Champaign-Urbana, but outdoor fun is always a hit if you dress for it. Our Champaign County Forest Preserves are beautiful right now and we highly recommend a winter wander through the Botanical Gardens at Lake of the Woods (last weekend for lights) or Allerton Park in Monticello (still has lights on, too) if you’re looking for something to do. Stay warm and stay well, neighbors!
A few events to check out this weekend
Looking for something to do with your family? You’ve come to the right place! Our events calendar aggregates family-friendly events happening in the Champaign-Urbana metro area. We know you’re busy and looking for a bang for your buck, so we put an emphasis on including free and low-cost events that you can plan to attend on the fly. Please note that events are subject to change without notice.
