Forget “The Voice.” Here’s your chance to perform in front of 15,000 of your fellow fans at an Illinois basketball game.
Auditions are being held to perform the national anthem at an Illini men’s or women’s game this season. The tryouts are set for 5-8 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Bielfeldt Administration Building (1700 S. Fourth St.) in Champaign.
Those seeking to audition must fill out this form. Submitting the form does not guarantee a performance at a men’s or women’s basketball game.
Other important info:
All auditions must take place at the Bielfeldt Administration Building on this date and timeframe. If you’d like to send in a National Anthem audition, you can do so by sending a video file or link to a video recording of your National Anthem performance via email to diamarketing@illinois.edu. All video recordings must be sent in by Oct. 19 to be considered.
Previous National Anthem performers must still submit a registration form and audition in-person or via video recording.
Once the registration form is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours with a scheduled audition timeslot based on your provided availability, along with instructions for audition day. Timeslots will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis from the submitted registration forms.
Performances will be evaluated and ranked by a panel of judges at the auditions event. Submitted video recordings will be judged by the same panel.
Parking is available in the adjacent lot on the south side of the Bielfeldt building. Then enter at the main entrance on the west side of the building to check-in for your audition.
