We are wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving as you safely celebrate with reflections of gratitude
Nosh on some turkey, decorate for upcoming holidays, and enjoy special moments with your household family as we plunge into the holiday season of 2020 this weekend.
Champaign-Urbana, we just have to say… we are so grateful! During a year of ups and downs, one thing has rung true over and over again when it comes to all of you in our chambanamoms community – we are so grateful. Thank you for embracing this year with us, rallying to support the local businesses we love so much, heading outdoors “with” us as we look creatively at family fun and generally just continuing to share the awesomeness that makes C-U a great place for families to be.
As you reflect on your own thoughts of gratitude this week, we just want you to know we are thankful for YOU.
chambanamoms thanks Krannert Center for the Performing Arts for bringing us this weekend’s planner
Krannert Center for the Performing Arts Presents Manual Cinema’s Christmas Carol
Log in for a live-action, contemporary riff on a classic theme from Chicago’s own Manual Cinema. From her Chicago apartment, Aunt Trudy attempts to perform her late husband’s puppet production of A Christmas Carol on a family Zoom call. As she becomes absorbed in the story, the virtual meet-up transforms into a stunning, cinematic adaptation of Dickens’ classic tale complete with hundreds of dazzling paper puppets, miniatures, silhouettes, and a live score.

All About the Holidays
Are you looking for food you don’t have to cook on Thanksgiving? Get the scoop here on where you can order some food for Thanksgiving in Champaign-Urbana. Are you looking for some things to safely do with your family while the kids are on a little school break? We have some options you can choose from that are still operating under the Tier 3 mitigations currently in place in Illinois.
And then it is on to what comes next! For many this weekend is truly the official kickoff to the holiday season. Want to drive around and see some lights? You can already find some of the larger displays just a short drive away from Champaign-Urbana.
