This weekend, we close out June while enjoying long summer days, sunshine-packed time, and some of our favorite things
We are here for Champaign-Urbana families as you march through this summer with your kids – together, we can do this!
Remember the moments of panic where we thought, “what WILL we do with our kids all summer!” Believe it or not, June is drawing to a close and we are actually doing this thing, Chambana! It’s not that the unique circumstances of 2020 are any easier to work with now, but we’re finding our stride and enjoying some of the moments along the way, too. We’d love to hear how you’re making the best of the summer and enjoying it as a family – take a moment to share your thoughts via email now and let us know what the best part has been so far. Editor’s Note: responses may be included in a post sharing our readers’ summer highlights so far.
We have lots of information for you again this week. In addition to checking our calendar for the latest virtual and in-person events, check out our “summer series” of posts listed below. Mother Goose isn’t on the loose right now, but that doesn’t mean she can’t help us all keep our little kiddos engaged while we are at home this summer. This morning we hear how to keep our babies and toddlers interested in learning by taking the time to sing and read in these early stages. If you are tired of reading the same books that you checked out in March or want to actually see the books before you pick them up- there’s good news. The Champaign Public Library and other local libraries OPEN on Friday, June 26th. You can read more about all the details, here: https://www.chambanamoms.com/2020/06/10/champaign-public-library-plans-reopen/Make sure you turn up the sound and sing along with this fun story time.
