Spring Break Camps and Childcare in Champaign-Urbana
For many, spring break isn’t a break at all — just another week of the year when the kids aren’t in school.
If you’re looking for spring break childcare there are a bunch of options in town, mostly for children of elementary age. So what did we do? We made a list! All of these options are for March 16-20, 2020, unless noted otherwise.

Everything below is subject to availability; call ahead to sign up or register.
Kick back and spend your spring break exploring, going on field trips, playing games, and making crafts! Bring a lunch and water bottle daily, and remember to dress for mess. Morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Camp drop-off begins at 7:30 a.m. and scheduled activities begin by 9 a.m.

Champaign Park District is your child’s destination for positive, educational, and productive programs when school is out. Fee includes supplies, equipment, morning snack, and field trips. Children should bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and afternoon snack. No peanut products, please.

When school isn’t in session for winter break, spring break, holidays, or district in-service, the Y is your most convenient child care alternative. Schools out days curriculum includes supervised free play, interactive group games, rock climbing, crafts, swimming, and indoor/outdoor physical exercise. Due to the staff and student ratios upheld by the YMCA, participation in YMCA schools’ out days requires advanced registration.
Dates: March 12-13, March 16-20
Ages: Kindergarten-sixth grade
Location: Stephens Family YMCA, Champaign
CGA will be offering an all-day Spring Break Camp March 16-20. Families are welcome to sign up for one day or all five. Activities will include gymnastics instruction, games, arts & craft projects, obstacle courses, movies and more! This camp is intended for all skill levels of gymnastics.
Parents will need to send their children with a bag lunch. A mid-morning snack will be provided by CGA.
Dates: March 16-20, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (Drop off 8:30-9 a.m.; pick up 4-4:30 p.m.)
Ages: 4 years old through fifth grade

The Orpheum Children’s Science Museum will be hosting day camps during spring break March 16-20. Each day will have two camps filled with curriculum based activities and museum fun, one for kindergarten-2nd grade and the other for second through fifth grade. Each day will also feature its own unique theme including Dino Days, Mad Scientist, Superpowers, Robotics, and more! Full details and registration can be found at www.orpheumkids.com/camps.
