Prairieland Feeds invites you and your whole family to our 29th Annual Pet Fair Extravaganza September 28th & 29th! There will be our popular horse rides, exotic animals from Scovill Zoo, food trucks, vendors, educational exhibits for all ages to enjoy, and much more. This free fair, sponsored by Prairieland Feeds, features hands-on animal interactions to bring awareness to the non-for-profit animal rescue and welfare organizations in the community. Come out and discover how animals enrich our lives and how lost, injured, abused, and homeless animals are cared for by volunteers in our community. Talk to a parrot, ride a horse, touch a snake, and learn about different species. Fair Hours: 9-4 on Saturday and 11-4 on Sunday.

At last, at last! We finally have the first official weekend of fall here. The great happenings around town may have made it feel like fall, but now we know it’s here to stay, and in Champaign-Urbana, there is no shortage of things to do this weekend to celebrate.
There are some pretty fantastic fall festivals happening around town this weekend, like CU Pride Festival on Saturday (the parade happens at 3pm), the annual Pygmalion festival at various locations around town and the inaugural C-U Black & African Arts Festival, too. If food stands, flea markets and crafts are what you’re going for, hop in the car to Clinton for the Apple ‘n Pork Festival.
We have our very first local Halloween event of the season happening this weekend too, so it’s the perfect time to pull up the official 2019 chambanamoms.com Halloween Fun Guide so you can start making your plans to last all October long.
It’s also time to celebrate Rosh Hashanah and whether you’re observing the Jewish High Holidays as a family or you’d like to simply learn more about them, our mom-in-chief has written all about it for you.
Thanks again to Prairieland Feeds for sponsoring our Weekend Planner.
