Thank you to OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois for sponsoring our Weekend Planner.
Children see the world without limits. At OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois, we have an important job to do – to care for children. We see the world through their eyes because they are the only people we serve, every day. Whether it’s common illnesses, general wellness or complex medical conditions, we provide the highest level of care from newborns to young adults. OSF Children’s Hospital in Peoria is the only full service children’s hospital in Illinois outside of Chicago. Our experts serve nearly all of Illinois with more than a dozen satellite clinics, including our specialty clinic in Urbana with pediatric cardiology, surgery and hematology/oncology services.
At OSF Children’s Hospital, we believe every child we care for should have the opportunity to live their best childhood and grow without limits.
What is a dream come true? It is when summer meets fall! We have some scorching summer temps meeting some pretty fantastic fall activities this weekend and we want YOU to know about everything happening in Champaign-Urbana so you can make the most of these next few days!
Are fall sports your thing? You can celebrate homecoming and attend the Central High School Homecoming Pep Rally and Parade on Friday night to kick things off. Then on Saturday morning, head to Grange Grove, where no ticket is required to participate in the pre-game hoopla before the Fighting Illini take on Eastern Michigan. Like soccer? There’s a completely FREE soccer event when the Illini welcome Colorado College and have free construction hats to the first 200 fans! Families love Illini sports, in case you didn’t know, and we’re happy to tell you why.
What about fall festivals? Yep, those are in full swing already! The annual Scarecrow Festival is happening in Urbana, as well as the Harvest Festival in nearby Gibson City. If you’re up for a drive, you can head to Morton, IL for the Pumpkin Festival, which is one of our five fav fall fests beyond Champaign-Urbana.
We just LOVE finding free and inexpensive ways for your whole family to have fun during the fall, so be sure to check out Fall Fun on a Budget. Ready for apples and pumpkins and corn mazes? We can point you in the directions of all that fun with our guide for that, too.
Thanks again to OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois for sponsoring our Weekend Planner.
