We’re so fortunate to have not one but TWO awesome Champaign-Urbana festivals happening at the University of Illinois this weekend. Another fantastic season of performing arts in our community kicks off at Krannert Center this weekend with Ellnora. There are performances (many of which are FREE) happening all weekend, but we want to be sure you know about Danny Weinkauf and the Red Pants Band, performing Saturday morning, along with a slew of other family-friendly, musical activities that morning at Krannert.
Then on Sunday, you’re going to want to head to Matsuri at Japan House. There will be Asian-inspired performers all around Japan House and the Arboretum at the University of Illinois. In the evening, the international Japanese all-female band, the 220.127.116.11’s, will rock out until the fireworks begin around 8:30pm.
Remember, we LOVE festivals and we want to make sure you know about ALL the fall festivals coming up this season. We also LOVE finding free and inexpensive ways for your whole family to have fun… enter, our suggestions for Fall Fun on a Budget! Ready for apples and pumpkins and corn mazes? We can point you in the directions of all that fun with our guide for that, too.
Thanks again to Museum of the Grand Prairie for sponsoring our Weekend Planner.
