Thank you to the OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois for sponsoring our Weekend Planner.
A healthy life starts young. OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois is hosting an upcoming event to promote children’s health and wellness — Healthy Lives 4 Kids Day! You’ll find tips for getting kids to bed on time, healthy snack recipes and giveaways, while kids will have a blast playing games and activities.
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! That’s how we feel when we look at the calendar this weekend. Summer fairs and festivals are still in full swing, including the Half Century of Progress in Rantoul, the Mahomet Music Festival, Ogden Street Fest and others. Bring a bag for candy and head to the parade in downtown Mahomet on Saturday at 9am.
Are you eager to make your fall festival plans? We’ve got the Champaign-Urbana Area Fall Festivals Guide ready for you so you can start making those pumpkin-y plans.
Of course, the star of the weekend is the Urbana Sweetcorn Fest. We have everything you need to know before heading to the Sweetcorn Fest right here. Awesome community organizations like the Orpheum, Museum of the Grand Prairie, Spurlock Museum, Anita Purves Nature Center and so many others will have activities going all weekend, but especially on Saturday. Catch the Urbana, Central and Centennial marching bands performing on Saturday from 5-6pm, which is one of our favorites every year.
Thanks again to OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois for sponsoring our Weekend Planner.
