The Fourth of July is coming — and with it arrives a ton of fun family-friendly events in and around Champaign-Urbana, from Paxton to Monticello to Rantoul to Seymour to Tuscola to Danville.
This list comprises events that include parades, craft days, festivals, fireworks and more. (For your convenience, we have a fireworks-only list too – and a list of what is open and closed on the Fourth of July.)
In Champaign-Urbana and beyond, marking Independence Day means more than a week of celebrations. So don’t be surprised to see that a lot of this Fourth of July revelry actually takes place on days other than the actual holiday.
But hey – why limit the celebrations to just one day? That seems to be the mantra throughout East Central Illinois.
