It’s the thought that counts, right?
That’s what the sentimental side of us moms say as we bite into burnt toast and under cooked scrambled eggs laced with shards of eggshells.
But the honest side of us might confess while our kids cooking us breakfast on Mother’s Day is a sweet gesture, what we really want is a meal that doesn’t involve the risk of salmonella poisoning.
I’m sure I speak for many moms out there when I say this (and pay close attention Dads): instead of fixing us breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day, how about letting us sleep in, shower in peace, and then taking us out to a nice restaurant where “professionals” are in charge of the cooking?
If you are shouting “Amen” to that proposition, then this list of area restaurants offering brunch/lunch on Mother’s Day is just right for you.
