Buying co-ops use collective buying power to purchase large quantities of great products to receive reduced rates. Please note this is not a for-profit business. We all work together to make the group work and enjoy the savings. The discounts are anywhere from 30% to more than 70% off retail prices (wholesale is generally 50% off). Usually we buy directly from the manufacturer (the company that actually makes the products), but occasionally we run co-ops through a distributor (a company that buys from the manufacturer and then resells to us). Frontier Natural Products is an example of the latter type of co-op and the first co-op that the new CU Buying Cooperative group will run. If all goes well, I plan to run Frontier monthly.

Frontier Natural Products Co-op carries a staggering array of environmentally and socially responsible products including food, household items, kitchen accessories, cleaners, and toiletries. Aside from their own brand, Frontier, which makes spices, baking extracts, dips, soups, and seasonings, the co-op carries many other brands. Some of my favorites are: Simply Organic, Tom’s of Maine, Jason’s, Avalon Organics, Dr. Bronner’s, Desert Essence, Seventh Generation, Ecover, Weleda, and Burts Bees. Products from these brands and many more are offered at a great discount so it is easier to afford the natural products you’d like to be using in your home. Each month, Frontier also puts items on sale for an even deeper discount. And as long as we reach a total of $250, shipping is free!

Check out Frontier’s Wholesale Catalog to see the brands and prices for yourself!

https://wholesale.frontiercoop.com/whslpubl/FrontierWholesaleCatalog.pdf

(please note this is a large document that can take several minutes to fully download)

Also check out the monthly sale flyer to see what is currently on sale in August. While the sales will change for September, it will give you an idea of the deeper discount available:

https://wholesale.frontiercoop.com/whslpubl/MonthlySaleCatalog.pdf

Frontier Co-op Details

OPEN: September 1st
CLOSE: September 12th

PAYMENT DUE: September 17th
ESTIMATED ARRIVAL: around September 22nd

CU Buying Cooperative Details

If you are unsure if you will place an order, but would still like to see what’s happening, please feel free to join anyway. No minimum participation is necessary to be a member. You are welcome to order as much or as little as you want. If Frontier does not interest you, future co-ops might.

Once you join the group, you can access information about placing your Frontier order as well as make suggestions for future co-ops. We’ll use this group for co-op coordination, co-op brainstorming, sharing information on great deals, and more! To join the new CU Buying Cooperative, please go here and click the join button.

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/CUBuyingCooperative

You will be prompted to fill out a very brief questionnaire and review the group’s policies and guidelines. Once you return the questionnaire your membership will be approved.

Happy Shopping!
