Q: How have you and your family adjusted to life in Champaign-Urbana?

It has been awesome!  People and community are extremely friendly.

Q: We have all heard about your wife’s legendary lasagna. Any chance she will share the recipe with us?

Yes, her lasagna is the best, it is made with a lot of love.

Q:  You talk a lot about how your football team is like a family. How are you instilling that environment at Illinois?

Treat them like they’re my children, invite them to our home, etc.  Do things as a whole group (family).

Q: Your father was a football coach as well. What is the most important lesson he taught you?

Every lesson that I use in football has something to do with experience of being a coach’s son.

Q: What is your favorite part of fatherhood?

Seeing your children succeed in life’s challenges.
