Want to see the Illini kick off the season against Western Michigan on Sept. 1? Here’s one way that is easy on the wallet: register your kids for the Fighting Illini Kids Club.
All Kids Club members will receive one free ticket to the Illinois football game Saturday, Sept. 1 at 11 a.m. versus Western Michigan at Memorial Stadium. All additional tickets purchased with this offer will be $10.

The Western Michigan game will be a historic one, as it marks new Coach Tim Beckman’s first contest at the helm of the Illini.
Registration in the Kids Club is free, but don’t delay: there are only 800 slots remaining, as 4,200 members have renewed from last year. To be eligible, kids must be in eighth grade or younger from the state of Illinois. (Memberships are available to children who live out of state for $15 per year.)
Registration must be completed by Friday, Aug. 17 to take advantage of the football ticket offer.
The free Fighting Illini Kids Club membership includes a membership card for free admission to all regular season home events for Illinois volleyball, women’s basketball, soccer, gymnastics, golf, wrestling, track, cross country, women’s swimming and diving, baseball, and softball (admission is already free to all of those sports except for volleyball and women’s basketball).
It also includes three newsletters mailed throughout the year and additional e-mails including news and special Fighting Illini promotions. Club members will also have the opportunity to purchase a Fighting Illini Kids Club T-shirt.
