You know that old chestnut about singing for your supper? Now Chick-fil-A restaurants are giving you a chance to fill your belly for free — and all you have to do is dress like a cow.
That’s right — the chicken chain is celebrating the unofficial holiday, “Cow Appreciation Day,” at all of its locations on Friday, July 13. All you need to do is come to your area eatery fully dressed as a cow.
We think this is hilarious, mostly because Chick-fil-A is our go-to road restaurant when we’re traveling for chambanamoms business. We love their juicy chicken and the waffle fries ain’t too shabby, either. Or maybe it’s the fact that we get to eat a hot meal without being interrupted.
Either way, we’re lucky to have a Chick-fil-A location right here in Urbana, at the University of Illinois student union. We’re seriously considering investing in some fuzzy ears and a cow bell.
The chain is also offering a variety of prizes for “herds” that share their bovine beauty with their social networks. All the details can be found here.
Moo!

Hmm, I sewed my son a cow costume for halloween – I might have to drag it out;)
My boys did it last year. They wore white t shirts and black shorts with their soccer socks. Chick-fil-a had printable tales, masks and spots on their website so they wore those too. Last year there were whole families dressed up.
We just moved to the C-U area and were bummed about no Chick-fil-a until we leaned about the one in the student union. But, is it really just for students or do families actually trek in there for delicious eats?
Sarah,
It’s a smaller menu and the sandwiches are mostly warmed up in a microwave. It’s still delicious….don’t get me wrong…but not as fresh tasting as a regular Chick-Fil-A IMO
