June 29:
At Farmer City Raceway; free for Farmer City residents, admission (includes racing event) $10
June 30:
Tolono Fun Day West Side Park, fireworks at dusk. Free.
Arthur’s Freedom Celebration: Head to Jurgens Park; beginning at approximately 9:30pm, a continuous, 24 minute barrage of thousands of aerial displays including some of the biggest shells available in the country fill the night sky, all timed to music simulcast on 106.7 FM/The Fox. Free admission, donations accepted.
Rantoul: The 5K Rockin The Runway Annual Firecracker Classic at the Rantoul National Aviation Center’s Frank Elliott Field concludes with fireworks. Admission is $5 per person for ages 14 and over, with runners, walkers and veterans receiving free admission.
July 3:
Monticello: Fireworks at Lodge Park at dusk, part of the Monticello Freedom Celebration. UPDATE: CANCELLED
July 4:
Champaign County Freedom Celebration: The evening program at Dodds Park, near Parkland College in Champaign, starts at 5 p.m. and includes musical entertainment, food vendors and children’s activities both before and after the fireworks, which start around 9:15 p.m. Admission is FREE.
Freedom Fest, Lake of the Woods Park, Mahomet. Kids’ activities, food, live entertainment, fireworks at dusk. $1 per person, children 5 and under free. (Rain date is July 5.)
Bement: Fireworks at dusk. UPDATE: CANCELLED
Homer Fourth of July Celebration: Near Village Hall. Fireworks at dusk. Free.
Paxton Old-Fashioned July 4th Celebration: Memorial Field, fireworks at dusk. Free.
Villa Grove: At Richman Sports Complex off Route 130. Fireworks at dusk. Free. UPDATE: Rescheduled for August 4.
July 6:
Tuscola’s Sparks in the Park, fireworks at dusk in Ervin Park. Free. UPDATE: Fireworks cancelled, other events will continue as scheduled.
