A new trend report from RetailMeNot Shoppers revealed that 77 percent of men and women surveyed feel that mom gets a lot more attention in celebration of Mother’s Day than dads do on Father’s Day.
Well, we’re here to help you make sure that the father figure in your life isn’t disappointed on June 17. A new tie or tool is lovely, but everyone knows that the path to a man’s heart begins in his stomach (wink!).
We picked out our Top Five places to take dad out to eat on Father’s Day:
1. Meatheads: Gorgeous burgers and yummy chicken, not to mention foot-long hot dogs (in New England style buns, East Coasters!) and hand-cut fries make Meatheads a chambanamoms (and dads) favorite.
2. The Beef House: This Indiana institution is known for its delicious beef and, especially, the dinner rolls. Dad will love the food (and so will the whole family) and it’s also a great little road trip!
3. Black Dog Smoke & Ale House: Now is the time to hit this Urbana eatery — the limited space means just a handful of tables, and when the university is in session it’s nearly impossible to get a table without a wait. This is downhome BBQ at its finest. May we recommend the Burnt Ends? But get there early, that delicacy goes fast!
4. Fat Sandwich Company: Does Dad love a great sandwich? Look no further than Fat Sandwich Company. Grab a carry-out lunch and take dad on a picnic for his special day!
This newcomer to the Chambana Foodie Scene has been a critical darling since it opened its doors at the end of May. Revved-up comfort food from locally sourced suppliers means creamy, grown-up macaroni and cheese, a decadent horseshoe, a burger you won’t forget and sweet potato waffles for dessert. Remind Dad to wear his stretchy pants!
