Father’s Day at Sholem Aquatic Center: June 17, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dads get in FREE plus we’ve planned plenty of great activities that will keep your family smiling all day long including: “The Hop & Flop Daddy Drop” – a dads-only cannon ball contest with some fun prizes; the “Father Knows Best” trivia contest; a “Draw Your Dad” contest for kids ages 3-12; and half-price rootbeer floats for all dads at The Oasis concessions stand.
Father’s Day Book Giveaway: Saturday, June 16, and Sunday, June 17 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Champaign Public Library, 200 W. Green St. In honor of dads (and uncles and grandpas) the Library Friends invite every man who visits our FriendShop used book store on Father’s Day weekend to choose a book, fiction or nonfiction, to take home – free! No purchase necessary; giveaway does not include individually priced “special books.”
Father’s Day Weekend at the Monticello Railway Museum: Saturday, June 16, and Sunday, June 17 at the Monticello Railway Museum. Dads ride free; tickets for kids and grown-ups range from $6-9 (Kids under 2 are free). What little boys don’t love trains (and daddies are just overgrown little boys). Dads ride FREE when accompanied by their children! Times available at the MRM website.
