Want to save money, help the environment, and maybe make a buck or two? Here’s an idea: shop/sell consignment. Let’s face it – it’s expensive to raise kids! And especially when they are young, kids go through clothes in the blink of an eye.
So what is a consignment store? Consignment shops provide customers with a place to display and sell their merchandise. Policies vary from shop to shop on how prices are set, and what the profit split will be between the consignment shop and the owner. Each shop determines what sort of merchandise it will take, so be sure to check in with each store before you go to sell.
Consignment isn’t limited to clothing and toys; furniture and home decor are also major players in the consignment marketplace. Thank you to furniture and home decor specialty store Copasetic Consignments for its generous sponsorship of this guide.

Bella Mia had a great consignment shop on their second floor. Mostly name brand clothing and vintage home goods.
I mean “has” a great consignment shop. I was just there the other day. I should clarify its adult clothing only. I wish there was kids consignment there.
Thanks for this great list. I just made $200 consigning clothes at Karent’s Kloset. FYI: they have great maternity clothes as well.
I am trying to find the name of and phone number for the consignment shop that is in the same building as the Mexican Restuarant south of WCIA TV. I do not live there but I think it is on Neal or Prospect. HELP!!
