Celebrate Saturday With the Urbana Business Association

Saturday just got a little more exciting, thanks to the Urbana Business Association’s kick-off of their Ultimate Summer Saturday series.

This Saturday, May 1, the UBA invites you to come downtown and cheer on the runners from the Illinois Marathon as they pass through the south side of Main Street, between Race and Broadway.

Beat the crowds and come early — family-friendly activities are planned all morning, beginning at 7 a.m.

Get your fill of the Urbana Market at the Square and then stop by one of the participating downtown businesses for plenty of food and fun. The Courier Cafe is always a favorite for breakfast, and Crane Alley is a great place for a mimosa or a bloody Mary.

Don’t forget to bring the kids with you — UBA will have inflatable attractions and games on Broadway between Main and Elm Streets. Get an all-you-can-ride wristband for $5 and avoid the tears.

Music lovers won’t be disappointed, either. Strawberry Fields will host a “Grassroots Revival” at 11 a.m. and the Iron Post kicks off two concerts at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. So come on down and enjoy everything downtown Urbana has to offer. We’ll see you there!
