It’s Easter weekend and for lots of folks that means chocolate, eggs and a certain furry creature creeping around the house leaving treats for everyone. It also means that there’s plenty of fun stuff to do around town, so be sure to mark your calendars with these amazing Weekend Planner picks: Chicago Red Stars women’s professional soccer, DIY Nano Day at the Orpheum Children’s Science Museum, and a bounty of egg hunts.

What: The Illinois soccer team will host the Chicago Red Stars of Women’s Professional Soccer.
Where: the Illinois Soccer Stadium
When: 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3
How Much: Free
Good For: All ages
Why You should Go: This match is a great opportunity to see some of the top female players in the world and we all get a chance to welcome back former players University of Illinois players now competing as professional athletes. At halftime, there will be an Easter egg grab on the field for all kids in attendance, as well as an appearance by the Easter Bunny and prizes. Following the game, both teams will be available for autographs and the Illinois staff and players will conduct a free kids clinic.

What: DIY Nano Day and Family Egg Drop
Where: Orpheum Children’s Science Museum, downtown Champaign
When: 1-3 P.m. on Saturday, April 3
How Much: Free with admission to the museum, $3 for kids 2-18 and $4 for adults.
