This might fall under the category of University of Illinois Sports Camps in some people’s minds, but those of us who are “lifers” here, think of it as something separate: The Department of Kinesiology and Community Health has run a summer sports fitness program for kids for nearly 50 years:
http://kch.illinois.edu/outreach/summer.htm
It offers the opportunity for kids to sample different sorts of sports-based fitness activities, and can be either a one week or multi-week experience, whereas the Sports Camp focus on a specific sport in a rather intense (not to say unenjoyable) manner for part of a week. As far as I know, the Sports Fitness Program is strictly a day-camper type program, whereas the individual Sport Camps offer residential options (i.e., staying in a dorm on campus, eating in the dining halls, etc.)
My kids have done both the Sports Fitness Program and individual Sport Camps (commuter and residential) over the years and have really enjoyed them all.

Wildwood is a horse camp. All the camps do typical camp activities. More information can be found at http://www.girlscouts-gsci.org and click on “Camp and Property.”
