Like everyone else, we are glued to the continuing and relentlessly sad coverage of the earthquake in Haiti. We ache for those abroad who are suffering, and for those here in the US waiting for word from loved ones.
Watching the terrible news from that country makes us extra grateful for the bountiful blessings we have, and we invite you to do the same on this Thankful Thursday.
Laura is thankful that the world is opening their hearts to the people of Haiti. Amy is thankful for the health of her husband and children, and for the soft and comfortable bed she sleeps in each night.
What are you thankful for? Whatever it is, big or small, share it with us, won’t you?

I am thankful for the strange turn of events that ended me up in the ER as a visitor, minutes before I had a heart attack! Nothing like being in the right place at the right time! Then, to be back in the hospital a week later, and to have my heart “act up” right during the tests, giving the doctors a perfect picture of what is going on so they know how to treat it
Being able to soothe my frayed nerves and aching heart by rocking my sleeping baby, in our comfortable home, while listening to pretty music (currently “Lullaby” by the Dixie Chicks).
I’m thankful my dad had a minor (no damage) heart attack the day before he was scheduled for his normal heart checkup with EKG and that his family doctor caught it before it turned into the major heart attack that was clearly emminent. He’ll be having quadruple bypass on Tuesday.
