We remember when a “hot spot” meant something else entirely — but now we find ourselves looking for them all over Chambana. Moms and dads on the go or anyone who wants to know where to get good wifi in Champaign-Urbana need look no further.
We worked hard to compile a comprehensive list of all places you can pick up some free wireless, but let us know if we missed your favorite place to get online.

I want to know why you don’t have chambanamoms.com on your screen in this shot.
Sweet! Enough with the coffee shop, I’m going to Bunny’s to blog.
La Gourmandise/Bistro on Main in downtown Urbana – there’s a password, but access is free for patrons.
Downtown Champaign offers free wi-fi courtesy of Pavlov Media. I don’t know how far it covers, but particularly near the Art Theatre and West Side Park it’s easy to access. It’s nice to sit on a bench in the summer and catch up on email at the park.
Hubers!
Dido Marie… Downtown Champaign via Pavlov offers free wifi any place outdoors. Not sure how far south but you can access it to the north at Washington street also. Very convenient on a beautiful spring day in the One Main Plaza!
All of the U of I Libraries and other spots on campus are part of the public wireless network http://www.cites.illinois.edu/publicwireless/locations.html
