I was just reading something that declared sending holiday e-cards wasn’t considered tacky anymore. Well, do I have the holiday e-card idea for you – and it’s local! Go to the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital’s Picture Your Pet for the Holidays‘ free interactive application. It allows you to upload a photo of your pet, decorate it, and put in your own custom message. The accessories include reindeer antlers (as modeled by Maddie), a princess crown, holly, gifts, a Santa hat and more. You can even re-size them to fit your pet. The application then facilitates distribution of the “card” via Facebook, Twitter, or e-mail; or you can download the photo.
Whoever does the marketing at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital deserves an A for such an amazing, fun tool this holiday season! Have some fun with your family this frigid evening dressing up your cat, dog or other animal and send out some joy to your family and friends.
