Southern holiday dinners are served same time of day as Sunday dinner--2PM. Brought this tradition with me to the flatlands when I landed here a quarter century ago. (Oh, holy cow, that's a long time!)

We are eating a "Field Roast" this year. I do not eat meat so cooking a turkey was not an option. I found this at Strawberry Fields. It is made with butternut squash, mushrooms, and apples. My husband says it is delicious! Shalom!
